Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The island is famous for the unique fauna which roam the Komodo National Park. Its most famous inhabitant is the Komodo dragon, the world's largest living lizard, which takes its name from the island. With amazing reefs just offshore, there is an abundance of diving opportunities to view underwater life, as well.
